Artist – Eric Tore

Eric Tore

“I love to paint! My inspiration is ignited by the life, beauty, and wonder in the created world. A huge influence on my painting philosophy is the nineteenth century French Impressionists. Alfred Sisley said, ‘To give life to a work of art is one of the most necessary tasks of the true artist.’ By magnifying unique facets of nature, pushing color, and maintaining a spirited brushstroke, I hope to paint a distinctive realism that touches the heart of the viewer.”

Eric’s oil paintings achieve energy, life, and vision. They either blaze with dramatic power or exude a peaceful simplicity. One collector said, “They take you in, and then you go further.”

Eric has been painting full time since 1990. His training in art began at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art and later, the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute. Eric studied art in Florence, Italy, for six months before graduating in 1976 from Florida State University with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts. Eric’s work is included in many private and corporate collections. He has exhibited extensively and has won several awards. On two occasions, he was invited to Foster Harmon Gallery’s “Annual Major Florida Artists Show” in Sarasota. Also noteworthy is that Eric’s work has been purchased by the prestigious Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, Burt Reynolds, Melissa Etheridge, and Hartley Peavey of Peavey Amps and Guitars.
